City DescriptionEloy is a city in Pinal County, Arizona, United States. According to 2005 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 10,855.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 71.7 square miles (185.6 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 10,375 people, 2,492 households, and 1,988 families residing in "E-Town". The population density was 144.8 people per square mile (55.9/km²). There were 2,734 housing units at an average density of 38.1/sq mi (14.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 52.70% White, 5.32% Black or African American, 4.48% Native American, 1.20% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, 31.48% from other races, and 4.71% from two or more races. 74.38% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 2,492 households out of which 50.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.4% were married couples living together, 21.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.2% were non-families. 15.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
