City DescriptionEagar is a town in Apache County, Arizona, United States. According to 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 4,126.
Eagar is located at 34°6′24″N 109°17′34″W / 34.10667, -109.29278 (34.106703, -109.292725).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 11.3 square miles (29.4 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 4,033 people, 1,344 households, and 1,073 families residing in the town. The population density was 355.6 people per square mile (137.3/km²). There were 1,713 housing units at an average density of 151.1/sq mi (58.3/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 87.08% White, 3.35% Native American, 0.42% Black or African American, 0.12% Asian, 0.35% Pacific Islander, 4.91% from other races, and 3.77% from two or more races. 13.98% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 1,344 households out of which 45.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.5% were married couples living together, 11.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.1% were non-families. 17.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.3% had someone living alone who was 65 ...
