Pedro Bay is located at the head of Pedro Bay, on the northeast end of Iliamna Lake.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 19.0 square miles (49.1 km²), of which, 17.3 square miles (44.9 km²) of it is land and 1.6 square miles (4.2 km²) of it (8.65%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 50 people, 17 households, and 13 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2.9 people per square mile (1.1/km²). There were 43 housing units at an average density of 2.5/sq mi (1.0/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 36.00% White, 40.00% Native American, and 24.00% from two or more races.
