    River Falls is a town in Covington County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 616. River Falls is located at 31°21′7″N 86°32′12″W / 31.35194, -86.53667 (31.351948, -86.536680). According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 7.1 square miles (18.4 km²), of which, 6.9 square miles (17.9 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.5 km²) of it (2.67%) is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 616 people, 272 households, and 174 families residing in the town. The population density was 88.9 people per square mile (34.3/km²). There were 307 housing units at an average density of 44.3/sq mi (17.1/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 62.50% White, 36.04% Black or African American, 0.65% Native American, and 0.81% from two or more races. 0.81% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 272 households out of which 27.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.3% were married couples living together, 14.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.0% were non-families. 34.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or
