Ranburne is a town in Cleburne County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 459. Ranburne is located at 33°31′31″N 85°20′36″W / 33.52528, -85.34333 (33.525372, -85.343257). According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.1 km²).None of the area is covered with water. As of the census of 2000, there were 459 people, 186 households, and 137 families residing in the town. The population density was 289.9 people per square mile (112.2/km²). There were 211 housing units at an average density of 133.2/sq mi (51.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White. 0.22% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 186 households out of which 31.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.1% were married couples living together, 5.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.3% were non-families. 24.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 2.91. In the town the population was spread out with 23.5% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18
