City DescriptionMillbrook is a city in Autauga and Elmore counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. The population was 10,386 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Montgomery Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Millbrook is located at 32°29′51″N 86°22′7″W / 32.4975, -86.36861 (32.497626, -86.368545).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 9.7 square miles (25.1 km²), of which, 9.5 square miles (24.7 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²) of it (1.75%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 10,386 people, 3,660 households, and 2,931 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,091.3 people per square mile (421.2/km²). There were 3,897 housing units at an average density of 409.5/sq mi (158.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 79.86% White, 17.11% Black or African American, 0.55% Native American, 0.57% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.56% from other races, and 1.34% from two or more races. 1.44% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
