Coffee Springs is a town in Geneva County, Alabama, United States. It is part of the Dothan, Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area. At the 2000 census the population was 251. Coffee Springs is located at 31°10′0″N 85°54′38″W / 31.166667°N 85.91056°W / 31.166667; -85.91056 (31.166736, -85.910634). According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.1 km²), of which, 0.8 square miles (2.0 km²) of it is land and 1.25% is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 251 people, 108 households, and 74 families residing in the town. The population density was 320.3 people per square mile (124.2/km²). There were 128 housing units at an average density of 163.3/sq mi (63.4/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 93.23% White, 3.98% Black or African American, and 2.79% from two or more races. There were 108 households out of which 17.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.4% were married couples living together, 12.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.6% were non-families. 24.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
