City DescriptionAutaugaville is a town in Autauga County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 820. According to the 2008 U.S. Census estimates, the town had a population of 870. It is part of the Montgomery Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Autaugaville is located at 32°25′57″N 86°39′12″W / 32.4325°N 86.65333°W / 32.4325; -86.65333 (32.432410, -86.653370).
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 7.9 square miles (20.5 km²), of which, 7.7 square miles (20.0 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²) of it (2.15%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 820 people, 316 households, and 219 families residing in the town. The population density was 106.1 people per square mile (41.0/km²). There were 384 housing units at an average density of 49.7/sq mi (19.2/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 65.98% Black or African American, 32.32% White, 0.24% Native American, 0.24% from other races, and 1.22% from two or more races. 0.98% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
